INEZ MOORE

Inez Moore, 95, of Jasper, Tennessee, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 20, 2026.  Born on June 10, 1930, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Robert McElyea and Rosa Green McElyea. Inez later married the love of her life, Paul C. Moore, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing.  Inez spent part of her life in Gloucester, Virginia, where she devoted herself to serving others as a driver of a handicapped school bus. Her gentle spirit, patience, and kindness touched countless lives during those years.  Above all, Inez treasured her family. She loved them deeply, enjoyed every moment spent with them, and never missed an opportunity to show her affection. Family stories often recall that her favorite was Melvin Moore, a title she bestowed with pride and humor. A natural caregiver, Inez, opened her heart and home to many relatives throughout her life, always giving more than she ever asked in return.  Her faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. She expressed her love through acts of service, especially cooking for her family, filling their homes and hearts with warmth. A true southern belle, Inez took joy in looking her best. She adored doing her hair and makeup, embracing the grace and charm that defined her.  Inez also had a special place in her heart for her dogs, and for Rufus, who brought her companionship and comfort over the years.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering faith. Those who knew her will forever remember her gentle smile, her giving spirit, and the beauty she carried both inside and out.

Inez is preceded in death by her father, Robert McElyea; mother, Rosa Green McElyea; husband, Paul C. Moore; and brother, C. B. McElyea.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Melvin Moore; daughters, Cindy (James) Dean, Debra (David) Lynn, Linda (Dennis) Keen; grandchildren, Jonathan Roy, Melissa Fischer, Jared Lynn, Dr. Brent Keen, Ryan Keen, Jamie Dean, Scott Dean, Jeffrey Dean; great grandchildren, David Roy, Cruz Roy, Jacob Roy, Luke Keen, Darwin Keen, Nathan Dean, Wyatt Dean, Brianna Dean, Travious Dean, Victoria Dean, James Dean, Aidan Dean, Claire Dean, Autumn Dean; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation is on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral Services are on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating.

Inez will be laid to rest on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell, Tennessee immediately following the funeral Service.

Pallbearers are the family members.
